2022 Peace Pentagon Women’s Retreat: Preserving and Protecting Women’s Rights in Appalachia

2022 Appalachian Retreat

As the representative for Women’s March, United Religions Initiative, and Planned Parenthood in Southwestern Virginia, the Peace Pentagon is hosting a special strategy retreat on Women’s Rights. The reversal of Roe v. Wade has galvanized women, and now we need to meet to bemoan the loss of our bodily sovereignty and the hostile political culture that has overtaken the far-right.

Join us first for an evening of emotional commiseration, followed by sessions of intellectual sharing and strategizing. During our weekend together, we will brainstorm on how to protect our rights in key Appalachian states: Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania. We also will perform ceremonies to spiritually uplift and prepare us for the challenges ahead.

Please note: We are offering this retreat at a heavy discount. Why? First, because we share your concerns that the Paradigm Shift is faltering and time is of the essence. Second, we want to work with women in the Appalachian region, where economic disparities are real and getting worse. Third, the weekend Program includes brainstorming on how the PEACE PENTAGON can best be used for Women's Rights in the Bible Belt - so we will be listening to YOUR IDEAS, as well as providing essential activist training and spiritual support.

In short, it is time for the Divine Feminine to rise as a force for change and peacebuilding. If you are seeking to harness your life mission and to be of service to others and the planet at this dire juncture in human herstory, join us in collectively dreaming forth a vision of feminine and masculine balance, peace, and harmony.

Covid Policy:
To safeguard all attendees, we will require all those who are not vaccinated to take a rapid test upon arrival and to wear a mask for the duration of the event.
Additional precautions: We require staff and attendees to wash their hands frequently and before all meals for at least 20 seconds. We also will have hand sanitizer available.
